AGORA

2019 • Contemporary dance | Three choreographies based on George Steiner's essay The Idea of Europe

AGORA

The performance consists of three location-related choreographies designed by Jorge Gonçalves, Joclécio Azevedo, and Catarina Campos. The starting point of each presentation is one of the ideas presented by George Steiner in his essay The Idea of Europe (2004). AGORA is part of Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte's annual €UROTRA$H contemporary dance program curated by Rogério Nuno Costa.

AGORA premiered on April 13, 2019, at the old church of São João de Ver (Santa Maria da Feira) and was performed the same year at Festival ContraDANÇA (Covilhã) and at Mala voadora (Porto) in 2020.

📖
I designed the project's visual look, posters, flyers, and program booklet. In addition, I made the music for the trailer of the dance performance and documented rehearsals and performances.
